## How to connect Claude Code to on-chain data in 3 steps

Connect, approve, ask. Add the StalkChain link to Claude Code, sign in once, and start asking about traders, tokens and wallets. No API key, about a minute.

1. **Connect:** Run claude mcp add --transport http stalkchain with the StalkChain link. Add --scope user to load it in every project.
2. **Approve:** Type /mcp, pick stalkchain and choose Authenticate. Sign in to StalkChain in the browser and press Approve. Free, no card.
3. **Ask:** Ask in plain English, or script it with claude -p. Claude Code picks the tools and shows each call.

### Terminal

1. Run this once in your terminal. Add --scope user before stalkchain to load it in every project.
2. Start claude, type /mcp, select stalkchain, press Enter and choose Authenticate. Sign in and press Approve.
3. No browser on the box? Run claude mcp login stalkchain --no-browser and paste the redirect URL back.
4. Run /mcp any time to check the connection.

### API key (cron & CI)

1. Create a key in your StalkChain dashboard.
2. Add the server with the key as a header. User scope, so cron and CI find it from any folder. No browser sign-in.
3. In scripts, pre-approve its tools with --allowedTools "mcp__stalkchain".

## Terminal, IDE or Desktop? One config covers all three.

- **Terminal:** The claude CLI. One command adds StalkChain, /mcp signs you in, and claude -p runs it from cron or CI. (claude mcp add · /mcp)
- **VS Code & JetBrains:** The IDE plugins share the CLI's config, so StalkChain shows up there too. VS Code can also add it from /mcp in the chat panel. (Same config as the CLI)
- **Claude Desktop:** Local sessions in the Code tab load the same config, plus any connectors on your claude.ai account. Nothing extra to set up. (Same config · or your claude.ai connector)

## What does it cost?

Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Research lookups run on credit packs that never expire.

## Is it safe?

You sign in with OAuth, so Claude Code never sees a password or API key. The research tools read public data, and StalkChain never asks for your seed phrase or private keys. Disconnect any time.

## Something not working?

- **StalkChain tools don't show up:** Start a new chat and make sure StalkChain is enabled for it.
- **A tool says you're out of credits:** The free tools keep working. Top up in your StalkChain dashboard, then ask again.
- **Sign-in keeps looping:** Remove the connector, add the link again and approve once.

### What does StalkChain add to Claude Code?

### Why can't Claude Code read FOMO data by itself?

FOMO's trader data sits behind a login, inside an app that only renders with JavaScript, so a plain web fetch comes back empty. StalkChain resolves FOMO handles to their Solana and EVM wallets and returns PnL, positions, fills and theses.

### How do I connect StalkChain to Claude Code?

Run claude mcp add --transport http stalkchain https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp, then type /mcp, pick stalkchain and choose Authenticate. For cron or CI, add it with an API key instead: --header "Authorization: Bearer sc_your_key".

### Which plans can use StalkChain in Claude Code?

Any plan that includes Claude Code: Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise or a Claude Console account, plus Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud and Microsoft Foundry. The free Claude plan doesn't include Claude Code. StalkChain connects the same way on all of them.

### Does sign-in work in claude -p, CI or over SSH?

Not on its own. claude -p can't open a browser, so sign in first with /mcp or claude mcp login stalkchain. On servers and CI, skip OAuth: add StalkChain with an API key header and the run needs no browser at all.

### Is StalkChain free?

Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Most research lookups are paid; the plans are listed on data.stalkchain.com.

### Can Claude Code alert me when a KOL buys?

Yes. Ask Claude Code to set a StalkChain alert: when a token crosses a price, or when two or more tracked traders buy it within a few minutes. It fires once, by email or to a Discord, Slack or Telegram webhook, and works on Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain.

### Is it safe? Does it touch my wallet?

It never touches your wallet. The research tools work on public data, and connecting never asks for a seed phrase, private key or signature. You sign in with OAuth and can disconnect any time.
