# Track Monad smart money from Claude Code

## Monad data in Claude Code, in short

- **Setup:** One terminal command. No API key needed.
- **Connection:** One MCP link for every chain and source: https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
- **Chain:** Monad, an EVM chain. chainId 143, native coin MON. One of the 7 chains in StalkChain Data.

- **Freshness:** Live. The feed and stream are real time, balances and holders are read live on each call, token boards cache for 5 minutes.
- **Addresses:** 0x… for wallets and tokens, same as Ethereum. Pass chain "monad" (or networkId 143) on token tools when a token is not in FOMO's directory.
- **Upstream:** FOMO (fomo.family) for traders, holders and the feed. A multi-chain node and price provider for wallets, transfers and MON prices. DefiLlama for TVL, yields and exploits.
- **Best for:** Seeing which tracked traders hold a Monad token, what they paid and whether they are selling. Sizing up a 0x wallet before copying it.
- **Not covered:** Per-token thesis history, price and smart-money alerts, deployer/sniper/exit forensics (Solana only), the on-chain trades stream (Robinhood Chain and Solana only). USD values for small Monad tokens come from FOMO, not the price provider.

## How do I get Monad data in Claude Code?

Connect StalkChain to Claude Code once. After that, Monad questions work in any chat.

1. **Connect:** Run claude mcp add --transport http stalkchain with the StalkChain link. Add --scope user to load it in every project.
2. **Approve:** Type /mcp, pick stalkchain and choose Authenticate. Sign in to StalkChain in the browser and press Approve. Free, no card.

### API key (cron & CI)

1. Create a key in your StalkChain dashboard.
2. Add the server with the key as a header. User scope, so cron and CI find it from any folder. No browser sign-in.
3. In scripts, pre-approve its tools with --allowedTools "mcp__stalkchain".

## What should Claude Code know about Monad data?

- **Chain id:** Pass chain "monad" or networkId 143 on token tools when a Monad token is not in FOMO's directory; without it the provider answers 400. Feed and balance rows label Monad as chain "monad", chainId 143.
- **Prices:** USD values on Monad come from FOMO for tokens that tracked traders hold. The cross-chain price provider prices MON by ticker, but returned no USD price for Monad memecoin contracts and no USD values in wallet_portfolio on Monad. Report the amount and say it is unpriced rather than $0.
- **Feed money fields:** On a buy, usdValue is the position mark after the fill, not the buy size. On a sell it is realized PnL. Use tradeUsd, or stalkchain_fomo_trade_detail, for the fill size.
- **Quiet chain:** Monad is a small share of FOMO activity, so a Monad-filtered feed page can cover many hours with only a few events. Say which window was covered. Holder and balance data stays rich when the feed is quiet.
- **Wallets:** Holder rows carry a wallet only when it was matched on chain. Status "resolving" means withheld, not missing. Evidence "onchain-holdings" is proven; "provider-claimed" is a lead.

### How do I connect Claude Code to Monad data?

### Does StalkChain cover Monad?

Yes. Monad (chainId 143) is one of the 7 chains in StalkChain Data. On Monad, Claude Code gets tracked FOMO traders' bags, positions and fills, per-token tracked holders and buy/sell flow, the live feed, any 0x wallet's holdings, transfers and age, and the chain's TVL, yields and exploits. Deeper contract forensics (deployer history, snipers, exit quotes) are Solana-only.

### How much Monad activity do tracked traders actually have?

Less than on Solana, BNB Chain or Robinhood Chain. On 2026-10-03 the Monad-filtered feed held two events, both thesis posts, across about eight hours, and no Monad token sat in the trending top 50. Holder data runs deeper: $MOE alone had 74 tracked holders. When the feed is quiet, ask for holders and balances instead.

### Can Claude Code read the theses traders post about Monad tokens?

Partly. The per-token thesis history tool does not accept Monad; it covers Solana, BNB Chain, Base and Ethereum. On Monad you still get each tracked holder's thesis on their position from the holders tool, and thesis posts show up in the Monad alert feed and live stream.

### Can I set a price or smart-money alert on a Monad token?

No. Alerts cover Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain. On Monad, ask Claude Code for the last hour of the feed whenever you want, or have it sample the live stream for up to two minutes. A headless setup can run that on a schedule.

### Can Claude Code value any Monad wallet?

It lists every token and amount a 0x address holds on Monad, plus transfers in and out and the wallet's age in days. USD values are the weak spot: in our checks the price provider priced MON by ticker but returned no USD value for Monad memecoin contracts. For tokens that tracked traders hold, FOMO's price fills the gap.

### Can Claude Code trade on Monad?

Yes, if you switch trading on. The agent wallet has an EVM address that works on Monad; fund it with MON and Claude Code can buy or sell a token as a single swap, within your per-trade and daily limits, only when you ask in the chat.
