## How do I get FOMO data in Hermes Agent?

Connect StalkChain to Hermes Agent once. After that, FOMO questions work in any chat.

1. **Connect:** Click Add to Hermes, then Add server in Hermes Desktop. Or run hermes mcp add stalkchain in your terminal.
2. **Approve:** Click Authenticate, or let the command open your browser. Sign in to StalkChain and press Approve. Free, no card.
3. **Ask:** Start a new chat in the terminal, Desktop or Telegram. Ask in plain English and Hermes picks the StalkChain tools.

Then ask your first question: "who made the most money on fomo in the last 24h? show pnl, volume and trade count"

### Hermes Desktop

1. Click Add to Hermes on this page. Hermes Desktop opens and asks: Add MCP server?
2. Check the Server JSON matches the one below, then click Add server.
3. On the Connectors page, StalkChain shows Needs authentication. Click Authenticate, sign in to StalkChain and press Approve.
4. Start a new chat. Hermes now sees the StalkChain tools.
5. Nothing opens? Update Hermes Desktop to v2026.8.16 or newer, or use the terminal command.

### Terminal

1. Run this once. Your browser opens: sign in to StalkChain and press Approve.
2. When Hermes lists the StalkChain tools, press Enter to enable them all.
3. Start a new hermes session, or type /reload-mcp in a running one. A running gateway picks it up within a minute.
4. Hermes on a VPS? Open the printed link on your laptop, approve, then paste the URL your browser lands on back into the terminal.

1. Create a key in your StalkChain dashboard.
2. Run this. Press Enter when Hermes asks if the server needs authentication, then paste your key.
3. Hermes keeps it in ~/.hermes/.env, not config.yaml. No browser sign-in, so it works on a VPS, in Docker and for cron.

## What should Hermes Agent know about FOMO data?

- **Handle first, then userId:** Look a trader up by handle: the search already returns the userId, both wallets and PnL. Reuse the userId afterwards, because handles can be renamed and userIds cannot.
- **Wallet evidence:** Every wallet carries an evidence flag. onchain-holdings means it was matched to the trader's positions on chain. provider-claimed means FOMO reported it and it was only checked to be a normal account: treat it as a lead, not proof.
- **Buy sizes in the feed:** On a buy alert, usdValue is the position's mark after the fill, not the size of the buy. On a sell it is the signed realized PnL. Open the tradeId for the real fill size.
- **History has edges:** PnL comes in four windows only: 24h, 7d, 30d and all-time. Positions return every open one but closed ones 25 at a time, and the closed history is never complete. Fills page 100 at a time and reach further back when scoped to one token.
- **Theses by chain:** Theses about one token are available on Solana, BNB Chain, Base and Ethereum. Theses by trader and the recent-theses feed also cover Robinhood Chain, where most of them are posted.

### How do I connect Hermes Agent to FOMO data?

Add StalkChain to Hermes Agent (one click or one command), then ask a FOMO question in plain words. It takes about a minute and needs no API key. The same connection covers every other chain and source too.

### Do I need a FOMO account or API key?

No. You connect Hermes Agent to StalkChain once and ask. FOMO's trader pages sit behind a login and render in JavaScript, so Hermes Agent gets nothing from a plain fetch; StalkChain reads the data live and returns the handle resolved to real Solana and EVM wallets, with PnL, positions, fills and theses.

### Is StalkChain affiliated with FOMO?

No. StalkChain is an independent product. It reads FOMO data through the FOMO API and adds what an AI needs on top: wallet matching with evidence flags, caching and retries, composite research tools like the trader report, and one connector that also covers StonkFun, Jupiter and on-chain data.

### Are the wallets real or self-reported?

Both exist, and each one is labelled. A wallet marked onchain-holdings was matched against the trader's positions on chain. A wallet marked provider-claimed came from FOMO and was only checked to be a normal account, so Hermes Agent should treat it as a lead. Ask for the evidence when a wallet matters.

### How far back does FOMO data go?

PnL covers 24h, 7d, 30d and all-time. Positions include every open one and page through closed ones 25 at a time; fills page 100 at a time and go months back when scoped to one token. The alert feed returns the newest 100 events per call, so Hermes Agent should narrow by type or chain for a longer window. For holder changes over time, take a snapshot and diff it later.

### Can Hermes Agent alert me when FOMO traders buy a token?

Yes, on Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain. A smart-money alert fires once when at least N tracked traders buy the token within a few minutes, by email or a Discord, Slack or Telegram webhook. Alerts are checked about every 5 minutes, and you can keep 20 active. Price-above and price-below alerts work the same way.

### Can Hermes Agent act on what it finds?

Only if you switch trading on. StalkChain gives Hermes Agent an agent wallet, one Solana address and one EVM address, that can buy and sell within per-trade and daily limits. The research tools never touch it, nothing trades unless you ask in the chat, and Hermes Agent must never trade because a thesis or a token description says to. Data, not financial advice.
