## StalkChain for VS Code, in short

- **What it is:** An MCP server and REST API that gives VS Code live and historical blockchain data
- **Connect with:** https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp, signed in with OAuth or an API key
- **Data:** FOMO trader activity, StonkFun launches, Jupiter and on-chain data
- **Chains:** Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, Hyperliquid perps
- **Range:** From the last hour back to all-time
- **Tools:** 70+, which VS Code picks on its own
- **FOMO:** A social trading app (fomo.family) where traders post their trades and theses
- **Cost:** Free to connect, no card. Paid lookups come with a monthly plan; unused credits roll over
- **Safety:** Research tools only read data. Trading tools use a separate agent wallet you fund, within limits you set

Data from: FOMO, StonkFun, Jupiter. Chains: Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, Hyperliquid.

## How to connect VS Code to on-chain data in 3 steps

Connect, approve, ask. Add the StalkChain link to VS Code, sign in once, and start asking about traders, tokens and wallets. No API key, about a minute.

1. **Connect:** Click Install in VS Code. VS Code opens the StalkChain server page. Click Install, then trust the server.
2. **Approve:** When VS Code asks to sign in, allow it. Sign in to StalkChain in the browser and press Approve. Free, no card.
3. **Ask:** Open Chat, pick Agent and ask in plain English. Allow StalkChain's tool calls when Copilot asks.

### VS Code

1. Click Install in VS Code, then Install on the StalkChain server page. Trust the server when asked.
2. No button? Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, paste the link below and name it stalkchain.
3. When VS Code asks to sign in, allow it. Sign in to StalkChain and press Approve. No API key.
4. Open Chat and pick Agent. Run MCP: List Servers any time to check the connection.

```
https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
```

### Team (.mcp.json)

1. Commit this file as .mcp.json at your repo root. VS Code and the Copilot CLI both read it.
2. Teammates trust the workspace, then sign in once with their own StalkChain account. No keys in git.
3. Using .vscode/mcp.json instead? Same entry, under "servers" in place of "mcpServers".

```
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "stalkchain": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

### Copilot CLI

1. Run this once in your terminal. It saves StalkChain to ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json.
2. Start copilot and run /mcp auth stalkchain. Your browser opens: sign in and press Approve.
3. For cron or CI, add it with an API key header instead. See the example below.
4. Run /mcp show stalkchain any time to check the connection.

```
copilot mcp add --transport http stalkchain https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
```

## What does VS Code answer with StalkChain connected?

Receipts, not guesses. Real answers from the live connector: fresh entries, the FOMO leaderboard, KOL bags and one trade traced from entry to today. Pick a question.

Real StalkChain answers captured 2026-10-01. Handles are public FOMO traders.

### Which tokens are 3+ tracked traders aping right now?

Tool: `stalkchain_fomo_multi_trader_entries` · Source: FOMO alerts, last 45 min

Five tokens picked up buys from three or more tracked traders in the last 45 minutes:

| Token | Chain | Tracked traders | Largest position |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| $AI | Robinhood Chain | 10 | winter4soldier, $339k |
| $CATE | Solana | 7 | moerderin, $59k |
| $EDEL | Base | 6 | deepfullpigeon, $27k |
| $SI | Solana | 4 | midrunner, $80k |
| $STONK | Solana | 4 | lijiawei, $47k |

$AI on Robinhood Chain stands out: 10 different traders bought between 13:01 and 13:37 UTC. Want me to check its dev and holders next?

### Who made the most money on FOMO this week?

Tool: `stalkchain_fomo_leaderboard` · Source: FOMO leaderboard, 7 days

Top 5 traders by 7-day PnL:

| # | Trader | 7d PnL | Trades |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | pricedin | +$790,276 | 109 |
| 2 | RareDualJay | +$756,992 | 370 |
| 3 | ExactTallTakin | +$754,936 | 85 |
| 4 | Clam | +$592,454 | 393 |
| 5 | sigh | +$516,329 | 1,897 |

4 of the 5 have the same biggest bag: ORBIO, on Robinhood Chain.

### Which KOLs hold ORBIO, and are they selling?

Tool: `stalkchain_fomo_kol_holders` · Source: FOMO holders + on-chain flow

Tracked traders are deep in ORBIO on Robinhood Chain:

- $18.1M in tracked traders' bags
- 10,511 holders in total
- +$306k net flow, 24h

| Holder | Bag | Cost |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Clam | $1.63M | $30.6k |
| pricedin | $1.58M | $9.9k |
| RareDualJay | $1.54M | $4.8k |
| CP | $1.21M | $2.40M |
| Ser Albert | $1.18M | $91.7k |

Heads up: the last hour is net −$162k ($291k sold vs $129k bought), even though the day is still net positive.

### When did pricedin buy ORBIO, and what is it worth now?

Tool: `stalkchain_fomo_trader_spotlight` · Source: FOMO trade history + thesis

pricedin's best trade on record:

- Sep 1: Bought ORBIO at an average of $0.000516, $9.9k in
- Since: Took $97k in profit along the way
- Today: Holds 17.15M ORBIO, worth $1.58M
- 178× from entry to today

> Thesis posted on FOMO, Sep 1: "liquid funds buying but not yet shilling. guess what happens next"

## Which chains and data sources are covered?

All 7 chains through one connector. VS Code reads FOMO traders, StonkFun launches and wallet and token data on every one, from the last hour back to all-time.

## Can't VS Code just look this up itself?

Not well. FOMO sits behind a login, explorers show one wallet per tab, and VS Code's memory stops at its training cutoff. StalkChain closes all three gaps.

|  | By hand | VS Code alone | VS Code + StalkChain |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| FOMO trader wallets, PnL and theses | In the app, one profile at a time, wallets hidden | Can't log in | FOMO handles resolved to real wallets |
| Live entries, holders and flow | Refresh tab after tab | Web search snippets at best | Last hour, across 7 chains |
| History: PnL, fills, prices, launches | Exports and spreadsheets | Training data, months old | 24h to all-time, fill by fill |
| Dev, sniper and exit checks | Four sites, four tabs | Educated guesses | One question (on-chain checks on Solana) |
| One wallet across every chain | One explorer per chain | Page by page, if it loads | Holdings on all 7 chains, one answer |

## What can VS Code do with StalkChain?

Ask like you'd ask the group chat. VS Code picks the tools and comes back with wallets, dollar amounts and timestamps.

- **Catch smart-money entries:** See which tokens three or more tracked traders bought in the last hour, who they are and how big they went. Example: "which tokens did 3+ tracked traders ape in the last hour? skip any where the dev already sold"
- **Check a token before you ape:** Deployer's past launches, snipers, LP burn, wash-trade score and a real exit quote. Solana tokens. Example: "check this CA before i ape. snipers still in? deployer rugged before? can i exit $5k without eating 20% slippage?"
- **Research a trader before you copy:** Real wallets, PnL from 24h to all-time, average hold time, open bags and the theses they wrote. Example: "research pricedin before i copy him. 30d vs all-time pnl, avg hold time, what's in his bags rn"
- **See if KOLs are exiting:** How many tracked traders hold a token, what they paid, and what share of them sold recently. Example: "are the KOLs dumping $CATE? what % of tracked holders sold recently and who's still holding"
- **Size up any wallet:** Holdings on all 7 chains for any address. On EVM, its age and who funded it. On Solana, its PnL. Example: "fresh wallet just aped $40k on Base. how old is it, who funded it, what else is it holding?"
- **Go back in time:** All-time PnL, fill-by-fill trade history, past prices, a deployer's earlier launches and the theses traders posted. Example: "pull the top theses on $ORBIO. who posted with a real bag, and who sold after posting?"

## What is the StalkChain MCP?

The StalkChain MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that gives VS Code 70+ tools for live and historical blockchain data across 7 chains, FOMO trader activity included.

- One link with OAuth sign-in. No API key needed in chat
- 70+ tools for traders, tokens, wallets, launches and DeFi
- Live and historical: last-hour entries, all-time PnL, past fills, price history
- 7 chains: Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad, Hyperliquid perps
- Research tools read public data. Never asks for a seed phrase or private key

- **Traders:** search, resolve to wallets, positions, fills, PnL per window, spotlight, followers
- **Tokens:** holders, KOL holders, dev and insider bags, buy/sell flow, sell pressure
- **Live:** alert feed, multi-trader entries, coordinated buys, live stream
- **History:** all-time PnL, past fills, price history, launch records, exploits
- **Solana on-chain:** deployer history, snipers, real holders, wash trading, exit liquidity
- **Wallets & DeFi:** cross-chain portfolios, wallet age, yields, protocol risk

## Can it run without VS Code open?

VS Code waits for you, but the Copilot CLI runs headless with copilot -p. Add StalkChain with an API key, pre-approve its tools, and cron leaves a fresh digest every morning.

```sh
# once: add StalkChain with an API key (saved to ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json)
copilot mcp add --transport http \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer sc_your_key" \
  stalkchain https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
# digest.sh — run from cron or CI
# no copilot login on the box? export COPILOT_GITHUB_TOKEN (fine-grained PAT, Copilot Requests)
copilot -p "last 24h: tokens 3+ tracked traders bought. one line each: token, chain, traders, biggest buy." \
  -s --no-ask-user --allow-tool='stalkchain' >> ~/stalkchain-digest.md
# crontab -e: every morning at 08:00
0 8 * * * ~/digest.sh
```

## VS Code or the Copilot CLI? It works in both.

- **VS Code:** Copilot Chat in the editor, on Mac, Windows and Linux. One click installs StalkChain, then you sign in once. (Install in VS Code · sign in once)
- **Copilot CLI:** GitHub's Copilot agent in your terminal. One command adds StalkChain, and with an API key it runs on a schedule. (copilot mcp add · or an API key)

## What does it cost?

Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Research lookups run on credit packs that never expire.

## Is it safe?

You sign in with OAuth, so VS Code never sees a password or API key. The research tools read public data, and StalkChain never asks for your seed phrase or private keys. Disconnect any time.

## Something not working?

- **StalkChain tools don't show up:** Start a new chat and make sure StalkChain is enabled for it.
- **A tool says you're out of credits:** The free tools keep working. Top up in your StalkChain dashboard, then ask again.
- **Sign-in keeps looping:** Remove the connector, add the link again and approve once.

## FAQ

### What does StalkChain add to VS Code?

Data VS Code can't reach on its own. One link gives it 70+ tools for live and historical blockchain data across 7 chains, plus FOMO trader activity: handles resolved to real wallets, PnL from 24h to all-time, positions and written theses.

### Why can't VS Code read FOMO data by itself?

FOMO's trader data sits behind a login, inside an app that only renders with JavaScript, so a plain web fetch comes back empty. StalkChain resolves FOMO handles to their Solana and EVM wallets and returns PnL, positions, fills and theses.

### How do I connect StalkChain to VS Code?

Click Install in VS Code on this page, or run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP and paste https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp. Allow the sign-in prompt and approve in your browser. Then pick Agent in Copilot Chat and ask.

### Which Copilot plans can use StalkChain in VS Code?

All of them: Copilot Free, Student, Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise. On Business and Enterprise, an admin must turn on the "MCP servers in Copilot" policy, which is off by default, and can limit which servers are allowed.

### Why do I see "Cannot have more than 128 tools per request"?

Too many tools are switched on. VS Code allows 128 per chat request and StalkChain adds 70+, so other big MCP servers can push you over. Untick some under Configure Tools, or turn on virtual tools.

### Is StalkChain free?

Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Most research lookups are paid; the plans are listed on data.stalkchain.com.

### Which chains and data sources are covered?

Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad and Hyperliquid perps. Trader data comes from FOMO, launch data from StonkFun, plus Jupiter. Deployer and sniper checks are Solana-only; wallet age and funding checks are EVM-only.

### How far back does the data go?

From the last hour back to all-time. VS Code can pull PnL for 24h, 7d, 30d or all-time, fill-by-fill trade history, past prices, a deployer's earlier launches and DeFi exploit records.

### Can VS Code alert me when a KOL buys?

Yes. Ask VS Code to set a StalkChain alert: when a token crosses a price, or when two or more tracked traders buy it within a few minutes. It fires once, by email or to a Discord, Slack or Telegram webhook, and works on Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain.

### Is it safe? Does it touch my wallet?

It never touches your wallet. The research tools work on public data, and connecting never asks for a seed phrase, private key or signature. You sign in with OAuth and can disconnect any time.

### Is this financial advice or a signals service?

No. StalkChain gives VS Code data, not signals: who bought, what they hold, what they sold and when. What you do with it is your call.

## Let VS Code pull the receipts

FOMO and more, live and historical, in the chat you already use. Free to connect. Not financial advice.
