Quick answer
Dune's credit guide lists Analyst at $75/month or $65/month billed annually, with 4,000 monthly credits.
Plus costs $399/month or $349/month billed annually, with 25,000 credits.
Ongoing Free access is view-only with no monthly credits.
New accounts receive up to 14 days and 2,500 total trial credits; the trial ends when either runs out.
Query compute and data consumption affect usage, so a credit is not one query or API request.
Dune pricing: published Data Hub plans
The official credit guide supplies these figures. Annual monthly equivalents are not month-to-month rates.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing equivalent | Monthly credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Not applicable | 0 |
| Analyst | $75/month | $65/month | 4,000 |
| Plus | $399/month | $349/month | 25,000 |

Free access and trial access are different
Dune's credit guide calls ongoing Free access view-only. After trial time or credits run out, saved work remains available, but running queries requires a paid plan.
The new-account trial includes Plus features and 2,500 total credits for up to 14 days. That is not 2,500 replenishing monthly credits or a permanent free API allowance.
Compute, not query count, determines usage
Dune says it does not publish a single per-query formula. Actual compute resources, query engine and execution conditions affect credits consumed. A lightweight query and a large scan need not cost the same.
Programmatic execution also consumes resources. The pricing FAQ separately discusses export consumption and plan-specific data-point ratios. Model both execution and consumption, not just HTTP requests.
A useful budget test is to choose one representative query, run it under your account's controls, and inspect actual usage. This guide has not performed that test and supplies no invented universal credits-per-query benchmark.
Extra-credit rates and controls
The credit guide lists these reference rates per 100 credits:
- Monthly Analyst: $1.875.
- Annually billed Analyst: $1.625.
- Monthly Plus: $1.596.
- Annually billed Plus: $1.396.
Paid usage beyond the allowance can be billed at the plan's extra-credit rate within the configured limit. Free and trial accounts cannot buy extra credits.
Dune documents a global per-execution query-cost cap and a monthly extra-credit limit. Configure both before scheduling runs; automated executions and refreshes are still usage, even without a person pressing Run.
Data Hub is not Datashare
Dune's product comparison distinguishes credit-based Data Hub from flat-subscription Datashare. This guide covers Data Hub, not a warehouse-sharing contract.
Choose the product around the delivery method: interactive SQL, programmatic results and warehouse access are different requirements. A subscription headline cannot establish every delivery entitlement.
Dune versus StalkChain: define the analytical job
Dune suits SQL-based analysis across blockchain datasets. StalkChain's REST API describes prebuilt trader-wallet, PnL and thesis research, and MCP access brings tools into AI clients. This is not a claim that StalkChain reproduces Dune's SQL warehouse.
Compare the needed operation in the tool reference, then inspect current StalkChain pricing. Provider credits and calls buy different outputs and cannot be compared one-for-one.
For a manual research process, the wallet-tracking guide helps define which checks need automation before you budget recurring queries.
FAQ
Can I run queries on Dune Free after the trial?
The current credit guide says no: ongoing Free access is view-only with zero monthly credits. An active trial with remaining credits or a paid plan is needed for execution.
Is an API request always one credit?
No. Dune describes compute-based query costs and separate data-consumption rules. Inspect the actual operation and plan rather than assigning a flat credit to every request.
Does this table price Datashare?
No. Dune describes Datashare as a different product with flat-subscription pricing. Obtain terms for that delivery method separately.
Final checklist
- Confirm Data Hub rather than Datashare is the needed product.
- Separate permanent Free access from the time-limited trial.
- Check monthly versus annual payment terms.
- Measure representative query and export consumption.
- Configure per-query and monthly extra-credit limits.
- Include scheduled executions and refreshes in the budget.
