Quick answer
Nansen's API credit guide lists Pro at $69/month on monthly billing or $49/month billed annually.
Pro starts with 2,000 included credits, then tops that included balance back up to 2,000 on the first of each calendar month if below the floor.
It does not add another 2,000 each month.
Free starts with 100 trial credits and a daily top-up to 10.
Web entitlements and endpoint costs need separate checks.
Nansen pricing: which product are you buying?
The official API credit guide distinguishes Free from Pro. The API landing page displays $49/month in a compact card without the billing-cycle detail. Use the credit guide's annual-versus-monthly distinction, then confirm checkout.
This review is documentation-only, checked October 31, 2026. We did not subscribe, execute paid calls, test MCP, or benchmark data quality. StalkChain publishes this guide and offers a competing data product.
| API plan | Subscription | Included-credit behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/month | 100 initial trial credits; daily top-up to 10 if below 10 |
| Pro, monthly | $69/month | 2,000 initially; monthly top-up to 2,000 |
| Pro, annual | $49/month billed annually | Same included-credit floor |
The credit floor is not an extra grant
On the first of each calendar month, shortly after 00:00 UTC, Nansen checks the included balance. A balance below 2,000 rises to 2,000; a balance at or above it receives nothing. The refresh is not tied to your signup anniversary.
Purchased credits are held separately. They do not reduce the included-credit top-up and expire one year after purchase. Included credits are spent first, according to the official worked examples.
A useful source example: 500 included credits become 2,000, not 2,500. That distinction matters when budgeting low-usage months; unused allowances do not build an ever-growing monthly grant.
Endpoint mix sets your usage budget
The endpoint credit table lists wallet PnL summary at one credit, Smart Money netflow at five, and premium address labels at 500, with zero for empty label data. A single request is not a universal credit unit.
Before subscribing, list the endpoints you need and their frequency. Include optional parameters: some endpoints charge more when premium labels are requested. Do not turn the subscription price into a flat price per wallet report.
Web app, API and MCP are different surfaces
Nansen's API page describes REST, MCP and CLI access. It also advertises x402 from $0.01 per query, a separate pay-per-call path rather than a universal endpoint price.
The Nansen Pro help article separately lists web and mobile access at $49/month annually or $69/month monthly, subject to reasonable fair-use limits. It lists 2,000 AI Agent credits per week; those are not the API's included-credit floor.
The help article calls API/MCP credits “one-time,” while the dedicated API guide documents the monthly floor top-up.
We report the dedicated guide's detailed API rules rather than treating that shorthand as a complete billing specification.
Confirm account entitlements at checkout; no separately priced MCP subscription was verified here.
Compare the research job, not the credit name
Nansen emphasizes labeled entities and Smart Money intelligence. StalkChain's REST API describes trader-to-wallet research, PnL and theses; its MCP connection brings data tools into an AI client. Those are overlapping research jobs, not identical datasets.
Use the tool reference to check coverage and advertised costs before comparing StalkChain's current pricing. This guide makes no numeric promotional-credit promise and does not treat provider credits as interchangeable.
For discretionary research, start with the wallet-tracking framework: decide which evidence changes your decision before buying a larger data allowance.
FAQ
Are 2,000 Pro credits added every month?
No. Nansen tops the included balance up to 2,000 only if it is below that floor on the first of the calendar month. Purchased credits are separate.
Is $49 the month-to-month price?
No. The credit guide assigns $49/month to annual billing and $69/month to monthly billing. Confirm the final charge and term at checkout.
Is MCP unlimited because I have Pro?
Do not assume so. Check the plan, endpoint costs and usage limits for the connected account. This documentation review did not test authenticated MCP access.
Final checklist
- Identify web, REST, MCP or x402 as the surface you need.
- Confirm annual versus monthly billing at checkout.
- Model the included-credit floor, not an accumulating grant.
- Check endpoint costs and optional premium-label charges.
- Keep purchased-credit expiry separate from included balances.
- Verify wallet evidence independently; past PnL does not predict returns.
