Santiment Pricing (2026): Sanbase and API Plan Caveats

Sanbase Pro, Max and business pricing, ambiguous yearly labels, API restrictions and conflicting official claims about Pro web freshness.

Quick answer

Santiment's individual pricing page displays Free at $0, Sanbase Pro at $49/month and Max at $249/month.

Business Pro is $420/month and Business Max $999/month; Enterprise requires a quote.

Yearly totals appear beside conflicting “billed monthly” wording, so confirm the invoice schedule.

API allowances and freshness differ by plan, and the pricing page and API plan document disagree about Pro web freshness.

Do not buy on an assumed real-time entitlement.

Santiment pricing: individual and business plans

The individual pricing page and business page provide the following displayed figures. These are source labels, not verified checkout charges.

PlanDisplayed monthly priceDisplayed yearly total
Free$0Free forever
Sanbase Pro$49$529/year
Sanbase Max$249$2,700/year
Business Pro$420$4,788/year
Business Max$999$11,388/year

The yearly labels also say “billed monthly” alongside an annual-billing selector. This review cannot establish the actual invoice cadence from that contradictory presentation. Confirm commitment length, payment timing and renewal amount before purchasing.

Documentation-only review, checked October 31, 2026: no paid account, checkout, metric query or freshness benchmark was tested. StalkChain publishes this guide and offers a competing data product.

API access is not the same as unrestricted web data

The API plan document lists these restrictions for restricted API metrics. Free metrics have their own access rules.

PlanMonthly API callsRestricted-metric API access
Free1,000One year of history; 30-day lag
Pro5,000One year of history; 30-day lag
Max80,000Two years of history; no real-time restriction
Business Pro600,000Two years of history; no real-time restriction
Business Max1,200,000Full access in the plan table

Minute and hourly limits also apply. A monthly allowance alone does not establish whether a burst of requests is supported, and the document warns that some beta metrics and newer metric versions require additional eligibility or higher plans.

The Pro web freshness conflict is unresolved

The pricing page advertises present-day and full historical Sanbase data for Pro. However, the API plan document's separate “Sanbase Access” section also lists Pro restricted metrics with one year of history and a 30-day lag.

That is a disagreement about web access, not merely an API-versus-web distinction. We cannot verify that every Pro web metric is fresh by selecting the more favorable pricing-page claim. Ask Santiment to confirm the exact metric, version, surface and historical range you need.

The pricing FAQ calls Max the minimum individual plan for unrestricted real-time API data. That does not erase the plan document's history limits or special metric-version restrictions.

Choose a plan around a named metric

Write down the metric identifier, version, asset, time range and required delay before comparing plans. A social-history study and a real-time trading pipeline have different requirements.

For example, a workflow needing recent restricted API data should not treat Pro's 5,000 calls as proof of suitable freshness. An allowance can be sufficient while the accessible time window is wrong.

No Santiment-native MCP subscription was verified in this review. GraphQL API access does not automatically prove a separate MCP product or price.

Compare with StalkChain by workflow

Santiment covers social, development and on-chain metric research. StalkChain's REST API describes trader-wallet attribution, PnL and theses; MCP access brings tools into an AI client. These are not identical data products.

Inspect the tool reference for the required operation and chain, then check current StalkChain pricing. Provider call counts are not interchangeable measures of research output.

The wallet-tracking framework helps define the evidence needed before adding another subscription. Neither vendor's dataset proves a wallet's future performance.

FAQ

Does Pro guarantee present-day web data for every metric?

We cannot establish that from the conflicting official pages. Pricing advertises present-day Sanbase data; the API plan document's Sanbase section lists restricted Pro metrics with a 30-day lag. Confirm the specific metric with Santiment.

Does Sanbase Pro include unrestricted live API data?

The API plan document lists a 30-day lag for restricted Pro API metrics. The pricing FAQ names Max as the minimum individual plan for unrestricted real-time API access, subject to documented history and metric-version limits.

Are the yearly totals a verified single annual invoice?

No. The extracted pricing labels combine yearly totals with “billed monthly” wording. Confirm the actual payment schedule at checkout rather than inferring it.

Final checklist

  • Specify web or API access and the exact metric version.
  • Confirm freshness and historical depth in writing where sources conflict.
  • Check monthly, hourly and per-minute API limits.
  • Resolve annual commitment and invoice cadence before payment.
  • Check beta and newer-version eligibility separately.
  • Compare datasets and research jobs, not call totals alone.
