- Setup
- One terminal command. No API key needed.
- Connection
- One MCP link for every chain and source: https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
- Coverage
- Two layers. Hyperliquid perps (FOMO network 1337, aliases hype, hl, perps) for tracked traders. HyperEVM (chain id 999, native HYPE) for any wallet or token.
- Data
- Perp opens and closes with side and leverage, realized PnL on closes, open perps with entry and liquidation prices, margin and live perp PnL. HyperEVM holdings, transfers, token metadata and prices.
- History
- Perp feed: the newest 100 Hyperliquid events per call, about 7 hours of activity on Oct 3. Open perps are read live. HyperEVM: a wallet's full transfer history, and HYPE price history by day, hour or 5 minutes.
- Freshness
- Perp events arrive as FOMO posts them, and the margin read is live at call time. The live-stream tool samples the feed as it happens. HyperEVM reads hit the chain live.
- IDs
- Traders by FOMO handle or userId. Perp markets by coin ticker (ZEC, SOL, HYPE); builder markets carry a dex prefix like xyz:META. HyperEVM wallets and tokens are 0x addresses.
- Upstream
- FOMO (fomo.family) for traders and perps. EVM RPC and price feeds for HyperEVM. DefiLlama for chain TVL, yields and exploits, where Hyperliquid is listed as Hyperliquid L1.
- Best for
- Seeing which tracked traders are long or short, at what leverage, with what entry and liquidation price, and who just closed with a profit or a loss.
- Not covered
- No theses, no price or smart-money alerts on Hyperliquid. Perps do not appear in the positions or fills tools. HyperEVM token holders, dev checks and candles are not available.

Ask
Start a new Codex chat and ask in plain English. Type /mcp any time to check StalkChain is connected.
Then ask your first question:
- Run this once in your terminal.
- Codex spots the sign-in and opens your browser. Sign in to StalkChain and press Approve.
- No browser popped up? Run codex mcp login stalkchain.
- Inside Codex, type /mcp to check the connection. Codex now sees all 70+ tools.
codex mcp add stalkchain --url https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp- In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Settings → MCP servers. In the IDE extension, open the gear menu → MCP servers.
- Click Add server, name it stalkchain, choose Streamable HTTP and paste the link below.
- Save, then click Restart (Restart extension in your IDE).
- Click Authenticate next to stalkchain, sign in and press Approve.
- Already added it in the CLI? Skip this. The app, CLI and IDE extension share one config.

--bearer-token-env-var STALKCHAIN_API_KEYHow does Codex answer a Hyperliquid question?
A real question, answered through StalkChain. The numbers are the tools' real output, trimmed to fit.
Tracked traders logged 100 perp opens and closes on Hyperliquid in the 7 hours to 06:51 UTC. The standouts:
| Trader | Action | Market | Detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| 000000 | Closed | PUMP perp | +$55K realized, 01:12 UTC |
| Salem1299534 | Closed | ZEC perp | +$37K realized, 04:19 UTC |
| excesscapital | Closed short, re-shorted | ZEC perp, 10× | +$12K, then 114 ZEC short from $1,315, liq $1,461 |
| TheHappySwan | Opened long | SOL perp, 20× | 10 open prints, 2 closes, 01:17 to 05:20 UTC |
| TheGhate | Closed | PONS perp | −$10,113 realized, 05:14 UTC |
| OneUnipcsHair | Opened long | BTC perp, 40× | 01:44 UTC |
excesscapital banked +$12K closing a 10× ZEC short at 05:48 UTC and was short again by 06:50: the live margin read shows 114 ZEC from $1,315 with liquidation at $1,461 and $24.9k isolated margin. Want the same read on TheHappySwan's 20× SOL longs?

What should Codex know about Hyperliquid data?
- Two chain ids
- In trader tools, chain=hyperliquid (or hype, hl, perps) means Hyperliquid perps, FOMO network 1337. In wallet, price and token tools it means HyperEVM, chain id 999, native HYPE. Pick the layer that matches the question.
- Where perps live
- Open perps come from stalkchain_fomo_trader_balances: hyperliquidPerps lists coin, side, size, leverage, isolated or cross, entry, liquidation and margin, and livePerpPnl is the trader's live perp PnL. Opens and closes come from stalkchain_fomo_alerts and the live stream, type perp. stalkchain_fomo_trader_positions and _swaps are spot only and return no Hyperliquid rows.
- Reading the feed
- Perp events carry no token address or trade id; the text holds side, leverage and coin. usdValue is set only on 'closed ... PnL' events and is realized PnL. Builder markets show a dex prefix, like xyz:META.
- Nulls
- In hyperliquidPerps, mark price, position value and unrealized PnL can be null. Say so rather than treating null as zero. totalValueUsd counts spot holdings only and excludes perps.
- Not here
- No theses, price alerts or smart-money alerts on Hyperliquid. Agent-wallet buys and sells with chain=hyperliquid are HyperEVM spot swaps paid in HYPE, not perp orders.
Hyperliquid data in Codex: questions
Add StalkChain to Codex (one terminal command), then ask a Hyperliquid question in plain words. It takes about a minute and needs no API key. The same connection covers every other chain and source too.
Yes. stalkchain_fomo_trader_balances with chain=hyperliquid returns each open perp: coin, long or short, size, leverage and whether it is isolated or cross, entry price, liquidation price and margin used, plus the trader's live perp PnL and available USDC. Mark price and unrealized PnL per position can come back null, and Codex will say so instead of guessing.
Yes. The FOMO feed emits a perp event every time a tracked trader opens or closes, with side, leverage and coin, and realized PnL on closes. Ask for the last hour, or watch the live stream for up to two minutes. On Oct 3 the feed carried 100 Hyperliquid events in about 7 hours.
Both, in different tools. Trader tools read the perp exchange, FOMO network 1337. Wallet, price and token tools read HyperEVM, chain id 999 with HYPE as the native coin, so any 0x address works there: holdings, transfers, wallet age, token metadata and prices.
Because those tools cover spot token trades, and perps are not spot. A trader with a live ZEC short shows seven open spot positions on Solana and Robinhood Chain and none on Hyperliquid. Use trader balances for open perps and the alert feed for opens and closes.
Not yet. Price and smart-money alerts cover Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain only, and there are no written theses on Hyperliquid. Ask for the perp feed on a schedule if your setup runs headless, or watch the live stream.
It can swap on HyperEVM: buy or sell a token with HYPE from your agent's EVM address, within the per-trade and daily limits you set, and only when you ask. It cannot open or close perps. The research tools never touch your wallet.
Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Most research lookups are paid; the plans are listed on data.stalkchain.com.
