Which chains and data sources are covered?

All 7 chains through one connector. Codex reads FOMO traders, StonkFun launches and wallet and token data on every one, from the last hour back to all-time.

Why connect it

Can't Codex just look this up itself?

Not well. FOMO sits behind a login, explorers show one wallet per tab, and Codex's memory stops at its training cutoff. StalkChain closes all three gaps.

How do I get a daily smart-money digest?

Codex can't ping you, but codex exec runs without a chat window. Add StalkChain with an API key, schedule one script, and a fresh digest is waiting every morning.

Terminal
# digest.sh — run from cron or CI
export STALKCHAIN_API_KEY=sc_your_key
codex exec --skip-git-repo-check --ephemeral \
  -c 'mcp_servers.stalkchain.default_tools_approval_mode="approve"' \
"7d FOMO leaderboard: top 10, one line each with pnl and biggest bag. flag any token 3+ of them hold." \
  >> ~/stalkchain-digest.md

# crontab -e: every morning at 08:00

Codex CLI, IDE extension or desktop app? It works in all three.

Codex CLI

OpenAI's coding agent in your terminal. One command adds StalkChain, and with an API key it runs on a schedule.

codex mcp add · or an API key

IDE extension

Codex inside VS Code, Cursor and Windsurf. Add StalkChain from the gear menu, or reuse the server you added in the CLI.

ChatGPT desktop app

Codex runs inside the ChatGPT app on Mac, Windows and Linux. Add StalkChain under Settings; it shares config with the CLI.

FAQ

StalkChain for Codex: questions

Data Codex can't reach on its own. One link gives it 70+ tools for live and historical blockchain data across 7 chains, plus FOMO trader activity: handles resolved to real wallets, PnL from 24h to all-time, positions and written theses.

FOMO's trader data sits behind a login, inside an app that only renders with JavaScript, so a plain web fetch comes back empty. StalkChain resolves FOMO handles to their Solana and EVM wallets and returns PnL, positions, fills and theses.

Run codex mcp add stalkchain --url https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp. Codex opens your browser; sign in and approve, no API key needed. In the ChatGPT desktop app or IDE extension, add the same link under MCP servers as Streamable HTTP.

Codex comes with every ChatGPT plan, from Free to Enterprise, or an OpenAI API key. OpenAI lists MCP support on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu and API-key sign-in. Free and Go get Codex in the desktop app, subject to rollout.

Not directly. Codex connects to custom MCP servers from your machine: the CLI, IDE extension and ChatGPT desktop app, which share one config. Codex Cloud tasks and ChatGPT on the web use installed plugins and don't read that config.

Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Most research lookups are paid; the plans are listed on data.stalkchain.com.

Robinhood Chain, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad and Hyperliquid perps. Trader data comes from FOMO, launch data from StonkFun, plus Jupiter. Deployer and sniper checks are Solana-only; wallet age and funding checks are EVM-only.

From the last hour back to all-time. Codex can pull PnL for 24h, 7d, 30d or all-time, fill-by-fill trade history, past prices, a deployer's earlier launches and DeFi exploit records.

Yes. Ask Codex to set a StalkChain alert: when a token crosses a price, or when two or more tracked traders buy it within a few minutes. It fires once, by email or to a Discord, Slack or Telegram webhook, and works on Solana, Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain.

It never touches your wallet. The research tools work on public data, and connecting never asks for a seed phrase, private key or signature. You sign in with OAuth and can disconnect any time.

No. StalkChain gives Codex data, not signals: who bought, what they hold, what they sold and when. What you do with it is your call.
