Jupiter data in VS Code, in short
- Setup
- One-click install, sign in once. No API key needed.
- Connection
- One MCP link for every chain and source: https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp
- Chain
- Solana only. Every Jupiter-backed tool takes a Solana mint address. Other chains are priced by stalkchain_token_prices_multichain instead.
- Data
- Price: USD, 24h change, pool liquidity. Quality: verified flag, tags, organic score, holders, market cap, first-pool date, developer wallet, mint and freeze authority, top-holder and dev concentration, organic share of volume. Exit: USD you would receive, cost of exit, sell and buy price impact, route venues.
- History
- Current state only. Prices and quotes are live; quality stats cover 5m, 1h, 6h and 24h windows. For a past price use stalkchain_price_history.
- Freshness
- Prices and quotes are re-fetched after 20 seconds, token records after 60 seconds. A quote is what the route would return at the moment you ask.
- IDs
- Base58 mint addresses, 32 to 44 characters, such as JUPyiwrYJFskUPiHa7hkeR8VUtAeFoSYbKedZNsDvCN. Tickers are not accepted here; stalkchain_fomo_search turns a symbol into a mint first.
- Upstream
- Jupiter's public API at api.jup.ag: /price/v3, /tokens/v2/search and /swap/v2/order. StalkChain is an independent consumer of that API, not a Jupiter product or partner.
- Best for
- Valuing a Solana wallet in one call, filtering a discovery list for wash volume, and sizing an exit before you trust a liquidity number.
- Not covered
- No Jupiter limit orders, DCA orders or perps positions, no Jupiter Lend positions, no historical quotes. Jupiter Lend and Perps appear at protocol level only, through stalkchain_protocol_report. Swaps happen only from your own agent wallet.
How do I get Jupiter data in VS Code?
Connect StalkChain to VS Code once. After that, Jupiter questions work in any chat.
- 1
Connect
Click Install in VS Code. VS Code opens the StalkChain server page. Click Install, then trust the server.
- 2
Approve
When VS Code asks to sign in, allow it. Sign in to StalkChain in the browser and press Approve. Free, no card.
- 3
Ask
Open Chat, pick Agent and ask in plain English. Allow StalkChain's tool calls when Copilot asks.
Then ask your first question:
- Click Install in VS Code, then Install on the StalkChain server page. Trust the server when asked.
- No button? Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, paste the link below and name it stalkchain.
- When VS Code asks to sign in, allow it. Sign in to StalkChain and press Approve. No API key.
- Open Chat and pick Agent. Run MCP: List Servers any time to check the connection.
https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp- Commit this file as .mcp.json at your repo root. VS Code and the Copilot CLI both read it.
- Teammates trust the workspace, then sign in once with their own StalkChain account. No keys in git.
- Using .vscode/mcp.json instead? Same entry, under "servers" in place of "mcpServers".
{
"mcpServers": {
"stalkchain": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://data.stalkchain.com/mcp"
}
}
}- Run this once in your terminal. It saves StalkChain to ~/.copilot/mcp-config.json.
- Start copilot and run /mcp auth stalkchain. Your browser opens: sign in and press Approve.
- For cron or CI, add it with an API key header instead. See the example below.
- Run /mcp show stalkchain any time to check the connection.
copilot mcp add --transport http stalkchain https://data.stalkchain.com/mcpHow does VS Code answer a Jupiter question?
A real question, answered through StalkChain. The numbers are the tools' real output, trimmed to fit.
Selling $50,000 of JUP into USDC right now returns $49,885.94, so the exit costs $114.06.
| Check | Result | Read |
|---|---|---|
| Sell $50,000 to USDC | $49,885.94 back | Cost of exit $114.06 |
| Sell price impact | 0.129% | Under the 2% caution line |
| Buy price impact, same size | 0.195% | No honeypot pattern: selling is not costlier than buying |
| Route venues | Scorch, GoonFi V2 | Two venues absorb the size |
| Pool liquidity | $5,881,775 | The quote agrees with the liquidity figure |
JUP absorbs a $50k sell with a 0.13% move and the buy side costs about the same, so there is no exit asymmetry. Want the same check at $250k, or a quality read on how much of today's JUP volume is organic?
Real StalkChain answers, trimmed to fit. Handles are public FOMO traders. Data, not financial advice.
What can I ask VS Code about Jupiter?
Paste any of these into VS Code. It picks the tools and shows where each number came from.

What should VS Code know about Jupiter data?
- Mints, not tickers
- Every Jupiter-backed tool takes a base58 Solana mint. Resolve a ticker with stalkchain_fomo_search first. An unknown mint comes back as 'no priced route' or 'not indexed', not as an error.
- Quote the size you hold
- stalkchain_token_exit_check quotes $10,000 by default and accepts $10 to $1,000,000. Price impact is not linear, so pass your real position size. A sell that costs more than five times the matching buy is flagged as honeypot behaviour.
- Organic score vs organic share
- The organic score (0 to 100, with a label) rates the token. The organic-volume share rates today's tape and excludes trading Jupiter classes as bot or wash. The two can disagree: JUP showed a 96.7 score and a 7.1% 24h share on 2026-10-03. Read both before calling volume fake.
- Verified means listed
- verified: true means the mint is on Jupiter's verified list. It is a listing signal, not an audit. stalkchain_token_onchain carries the same flag through a different provider, so the two can briefly disagree.
- Cache windows
- Prices and quotes are cached for 20 seconds and token records for 60. Identical calls inside that window return the same numbers, so re-ask after the window to see a fresh quote.
Jupiter data in VS Code: questions
Add StalkChain to VS Code (one-click install, sign in once), then ask a Jupiter question in plain words. It takes about a minute and needs no API key. The same connection covers every other chain and source too.
No. StalkChain reads Jupiter's public API at api.jup.ag like any other integrator, and Jupiter has no involvement in StalkChain Data. This page exists because three StalkChain tools are built on that API, and you should know where the numbers come from.
You can, but you get raw JSON for one mint at a time and no judgement. StalkChain turns a token record into a quality verdict with flagged risks, turns a swap order into an exit cost in dollars with a honeypot check, and prices 50 mints in one call. The same connector carries FOMO traders, holders and on-chain forensics, so the AI stays in one tool.
It is a real route quote from Jupiter's order endpoint at the moment you ask, not an estimate from a liquidity number. The USD you would receive, the price impact and the venues are what that route would execute. It is a quote, not a filled trade, so a fast market can move before you act.
Yes, from your own agent wallet. stalkchain_agent_buy and stalkchain_agent_sell swap SOL for a token and back, routed through Jupiter's aggregator, within per-trade and daily limits you set, and refused above 15% price impact. The research tools on this page never move funds.
Solana only. stalkchain_token_prices, stalkchain_token_quality and stalkchain_token_exit_check all take a Solana mint. For prices on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Robinhood Chain or Hyperliquid, use stalkchain_token_prices_multichain.
Not in StalkChain Data today. The Jupiter-backed tools cover prices, token quality and swap quotes. Jupiter Perps and Jupiter Lend appear at protocol level only, as TVL, growth and exploit history through stalkchain_protocol_report.
Connecting is free and needs no card. Free tools, like the live feed sample, work right away. Most research lookups are paid; the plans are listed on data.stalkchain.com.
